This is simply an interesting space that has developed over time. Most of this development has occured apart from a trained designer. By using materials found at Department stores or Home Improvement Warehouses, an extremely creative and enjoyable space is created from what used to be two ordinary classrooms and a hallway.
Notice the aluminum pan light fixtures and corrugated metal roofing on the walls. Also notice the Dog Pen that provides effective protection to the sound equipment.
When the drop ceiling was removed, the structure and mechanical equipment above were painted black to maintain the visual perception of a ceiling while providing an unfinished warehouse look. With this and the faux-painting on the walls, a very informal space is set apart for the youth in the church. This gives the youth a place of their own--a shelter from the typical church. A haven to have fun.
