I began this project as a study of the dialogue between the congregation and the worship space. The discussion was progressing slowly, but was coming together nonetheless. During a conversation with a friend of mine regarding the project, I realized that there was a missing ingredient. I immediately realized that this ingredient was absolutely vital to my discussion and completely changed the scope of my project. The next day I came in to start over on my discussion, and quickly realized that I had made the right decision. The missing ingredient became the very foundation of my discussion–the Holy Spirit.
Why the emphasis on the Holy Spirit? I am a Christian. By Biblical definition of what a true Christian is, I should be constantly under the influence of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9). The true measurement of any and all endeavors is scripture (II Timothy 3:16-17), thus it is my primary resource. I do not expect anyone outside of this influence to understand it, for it is impossible (I Corinthians 2:6-16). I do hope that my reflection of this influence would make it attractive and cause people to desire and attain it (I Corinthians 2:2-5).
